i went shopping with my mom and gma today, and my gma bought a beta fish.

i named him george.

"look, mom!"so we're hosting a worldview weekend today and tomorrow. and my mother told me i should go. and i did. and ken ham spoke, and we decided we'd like to meet him and take our picture with him. and cuz mel's cool like that and is good at making friends with people who used to be complete strangers, we did. so yep. and i talked to him about how my mom's a science teacher and she likes to play buddy davis cd's. so yeah, good times

so "elizabeth's slightly crazy" story of the week:
the other day i was sitting here at my desk and i got a phone call for me and kim about hosting a girl this weekend. kim was gone at supper or something so i almost asked if i could call the lady back after i had talked to kim, but i finally decided to just look at my schedule and told her we'd do it. and then after i hung up i decided to email kim and let her know...so i was going to do that, but a couple of minutes later i turned to see something and kim was sitting there!!! at her desk!!! she'd been there the whole time!!! it scared me a lot haha! it's not like it's a massive building....it's just a dorm room haha but i forgot she was there. good times....

my bible study went really well last night. i feel like the girls are getting really comfortable with each other and opening up and it's exciting to see God working!...

this post is dedicated to jen and kaitlin with whom i'm sitting here in kaitlin's room.....we're studying and i decided to blog about it...or in kaitlin's words, i decided to procrastinate haha...

so as we sit here at our laptops, i'm getting ready to study ahead for politics for once...a crazy thought i know....and i'm pondering the great mysteries of life. or at least my life. it's confusing. would you pray for me? that i'll have my focus on Jesus where it needs to be...and that i'll be willing to hand off the rest of it to Him where i need to. it's been a really tough day or two....lots to try to understand. and i need lots of prayer....He is my refuge...so i don't have to worry or be upset, but it's hard. so yep, i'd appreciate prayers. =)

and p.s. thanks for praying for me when i was hw-ing last post. it was cool to see that even though i didn't get like half of what i needed to done that afternoon, after people were praying the work that night went about twice as fast as i thought it would. =) it was great.

well probly enough procrastinating for the night. hope you're all enjoying your evening! ttyl

i'm in the library. and it's really nice and quiet and there's a great computer and internet and it's warm and my chair is comfy. it's great. but ah!!! hw!!! it does exist!!! and it's attacking me again. it was crazy sunday night. really crazy. and tonight's looking that way too! oh man, yay for finals being a long way off at least.
so i'm gonna head back and do some more hw. and if you ever wondered. 5:00 is the time to come to the library. i'm pretty sure everyone is at supper or something. you can have almost any computer you want haha. oh man. this hw stuff. it's silly. but i'm gonna go see what i can do with it.
so if you see this before 12 tonight will you pray for me. cuz i really want to go see my friends, but i really need to get this done a lot. so i'd appreciate prayers for motivation.

it was parent's and grandparent's weekend at school this weekend. it was fun to see all the gparents around. i liked it =D. twas a good weekend...really busy though and i have a big paper to finish tonight and a test to study for, so i'm gonna go. but here're a couple of my favorite pictures from the weekend. =)

we went to jill's parents' hotel and some of us went swimming and some of sat and watched and drank our hot chocolate and coffee and tea...fun times....notice the coordinated crossing of the legs haha =)

then we went upstairs and played uno and catch phrase and ate lots of food =D

well i had a lovely weekend at home for my birthday! my gma came down and visited and that was really nice to have her there! and jen and mel and jessica and ben and nathaniel and the rest of my family were there too, so that was really nice! we got to go to camp and just hang out and look around the afternoon of my bday. it was exciting, cuz i realized that growing up i had always thought it would be fun to be at camp on my birthday and now i got to =D. and i got to talk to maggie on the phone =). and tonight my mom brought me my new phone!!! (same number though...but i'm trying to find all my old numbers again, so could you email me yours if i had it before please?) it's been a good week. i got registered for classes today and got into all the ones i wanted! there were only about 4 openings left in the New Testament class that i wanted around 5 minutes before i was allowed to register, but i even made it into that one! so that was one of many exciting answers to prayer today! hope you all are having a great week! ttyl
